[NJPW News Part 2] New Japan announced the full card for the upcoming “INVASION ATTACK 2014” iPPV on April 6.The main event will see the IWGP Intercontinental belt once more on the line when Hiroshi Tanahashi defends against the NEW JAPAN CUP 2014 winner Shinsuke Nakamura. Nakamura wants another shot at the belt that he feels belong solely to him and this could very well be his last chance as he already 0-2, 1/4 & 2/9, to Tanahashi this year alone. Nakamura’s mind is solely on recapturing the belt and is looking to carry the momentum from the NJC to total victory. The semi-final match will see the IWGP Tag belts on the line as Karl Anderson & Doc Gallows defend against the alliance of Hirooki Goto & Katsuyori Shibata. Anderson and Goto  are no strangers in the past in being both tag partners and rivals in the ring. Now they both have new tag partners, with Anderson finding success with Gallows, and Goto is looking to align himself with his childhood friend as they try and claim the top prize as a tag team.Tetsuya Naito claimed a win over Tomohiro Ishii in the NEW JAPAN CUP and has set himself up for a rematch for the NEVER Openweight belt on the iPPV. Before the NJC though, Naito did pick up another win over Ishii and he feels that the momentum for another NEVER reign is firmly in his grasp. The runner-up in the NEW JAPAN CUP, Bad Luck Fale will not be receiving an IWGP Heavyweight match at the iPPV, though he will be receiving a chance to line himself up either further in the standings as he takes on Okada in a tag match. Fale could indeed earn himself a challenge against Okada in the near future with a win, or at least even a strong showing against the champ.Ryusuke Taguchi will be getting another chance to settle the score once and for all against Prince Devitt as the two are scheduled to face in singles competition. Taguchi has been trying to reclaim a top position as a New Japan junior since his return from injury, but has yet to get the much needed win to begin the climb back up. Due to the position of this match it appears that a contender for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight belt could be potentially decided upon as well.Daniel & Rolles Gracie will once again be competing in the New Japan ring, but this time they will be taking on the rule-breaking heels in Toru Yano & Takashi Iizuka. Before joining NJPW, Yano was a skilled amateur grappler in his own right, even Iizuka as well before he went over the edge as a full-blooded wild man. It should be interesting to see the Gracies in a new match-up, but more so to see where they will be going following the match. The event will also see the NWA World Tag belts on the line as Rob Conway & Jax Dane once more defend the belts against Hiroyoshi Tenzan & Satoshi Kojima. Kojima being the NWA World Heavyweight Champion as well, could be looking to claim the feat that Conway did last year in being a double NWA Champion. Then the opening contest of the show will see the IWGP Junior Tag belts on the line as the Young Bucks defend against the team of Kota Ibushi & El Desperado. New Japan is clearly looking to start the event off with an explosive start as all four men utilize a lot of aerial feats and quick moves.Below is the card in full.New Japan Pro Wrestling “INVASION ATTACK 2014”, 4/6/2014 [Sun] 16:00 @ Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo(1) IWGP Jr. Tag Championship Match: [37th Champions] “Young Bucks” Matt & Nick Jackson vs. [Challengers] Kota Ibushi & El Desperado~ 3rd title defense.(2) Special 6 Man Tag Match: Togi Makabe, Yuji Nagata & Kazushi Sakuraba [Free] vs. Minoru Suzuki, TAKA Michinoku & Taichi(3) NWA World Tag Championship Match: [79th Champions] Rob Conway & Jax Dane vs. [Challenger] Hiroyoshi Tenzan & Satoshi Kojima(4) Pro-Wrestling vs Jiu-Jitsu Mixed Martial Arts Match: Toru Yano & Takashi Iizuka vs. Daniel & Rolles Gracie(5) Special Single Match: Ryusuke Taguchi vs. Prince Devitt(6) Kazuchika Okada & YOSHI-HASHI vs. Bad Luck Fale & Tama Tonga(7) NEVER Openweight Championship Match: [3rd Champion] Tomohiro Ishii vs. [Challenger] Tetsuya Naito~ 1st title defense.(8) IWGP Tag Championship Match: [64th Champions] Karl Anderson & Doc Gallows vs. [Challengers] Hirooki Goto & Katsuyori Shibata~ 2nd title defense.(9) IWGP Intercontinental Championship Match: [7th Champion] Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. [Challenger] Shinsuke Nakamura ~ 2nd title defense.NJPW Event Cards for March & April 2014http://puroresuspirit.wordpress.com/2014/02/14/njpw-event-cards-for-march-april-2014/
